It’s a monkey mind that you’ve got.
Just like a monkey jumps from branch to branch. Your mind also keeps jumping from one idea to another. At one moment you want to be a huge success in business, another instance you are thinking about an actress or an actor, you want good marks in exams. Then comes the thought of letting it all go and becoming a yogi!!!
With this kind of mind how do you suppose to live life blissfully. The very life within you is confused in which direction to go. If you cannot keep your own mind still which is internal, how do you plan to deal with the world which is external? Becoming a yogi is a far difficult job.
Your mind should be like a mirror – reflecting whatever you want it to. Completely under your control and yet absolutely free from any boundaries. It should be focused enough to lead you in the direction that you want to go.
To get contol over your mind does not mean to limit it’s working.
After almost 6 million years of evolution we got a mind with such capabilities, and putting limitations to it would be unjust to the efforts of life.
Instead you need to create a distance between your mind and yourself. Let your mind do all the thinking and imagining that it wants. Just ignore it. Let it be.
Once you create this distance between yourself and your mind you will find it easy to organise yourself because you will understand that the mind belongs to you, it does not define who and what you are. The entanglements of the materialistic world will no longer bring anxiety.
Ecstasy will become the way of your life. Actually, the truth is that ecstasy and bliss is the nature of life. It is just us who have made a mess out of it.
And then we search for heaven, not realising that we are already on one.
